JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The 29th Annual Mistletoe Marketplace kicks off Thursday at the Trademart in Jackson. The Junior League of Jackson held its black tie preview gala Wednesday night.
Guests paid $100 dollars for an evening of food, live entertainment and the first chance to shop with specialty vendors.
This year's theme is 'Peace on Earth'. The three day shopping event is a fundraiser for the Junior League and supports its 32 community service projects.
Preview shopping started at 7 o'clock with guests walking the red carpet and silent and live auctions.
"We have over 160 merchants from across the country. They are from the southeast as well as as far as California, and they will be here with wonderful holiday gifts that you can buy for your friends and family, as well as for yourself," said Jennifer Wellhausen, Mistletoe promotions chair.
Shopping is open to the general public from 11 a.m. through 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Mistletoe Marketplace ends Saturday at 5 p.m.
