More layoffs for River Oaks Hospital

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Officials announced staff changes that employees say means the elimination of about 30 filled positions at River Oaks Hospital.

Workers say the layoffs happened Friday, mainly to administration and clerical staff. A hospital spokeswoman says the number of employees has not been determined. Another spokesperson, Shannon McLaughlin characterized the staff changes as "temporary" in nature.
