HOLLY SPRINGS, MS (WMC-TV) - A suspect is in jail after two people were killed late Sunday night in a home on Memphis Street in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Chief of Police Robert Pearson police were called to the home around 11:00 p.m. after reports of a double homicide.  Inside, they found a man and woman dead of apparent gun shot wounds.

Police found the murder weapon, Pearson said, and a man was later arrested and confessed to the crime during questioning.  That man, identified as Justin Crumb, was charged with two counts of murder.

The victims were identified as the suspect's sister, Octavia Crumb, and her fiancee, Darrell Findlay.

"We are all concerned - concerned even about the one who is behind bars, because we all knew him," said Annie Moffatt, who worked with Octavia Crumb. "My business is just right down the street, and we loved them.  They were a nice family."

Moffat said the couple had two children, a three-year-old and a five-day-old.  The children were in the house at the time of the shoting, but were not harmed.

Investigators have not released a motive in the shooting.
