A possible security breach has one bank giving customers new debit cards. BancorpSouth is sending out new cards to about 6500 customers.
The vice president of the banks security department says account numbers were either lost or they were somehow hacked into.
The old cards will be deactivated on December 28th, but customers who get new cards will still be able to use their existing PIN number.
It also says customers are getting official-looking emails that are actually bogus. The emails ask customers to verify or renew their bank bill pay and services.
