New Outlet Mall Coming

By Bert Case

A new outlet mall is planned for Pearl, Mississippi just west of the existing Bass Pro Store.  It will be 300,000 square feet, the largest outlet mall in Mississippi and cost $50 million dollars.

It is being developed by Spectrum Capital of Jackson, an affiliate of Yates Construction Company which built the Bass Pro Store and nearby Trustmark Park, home of the Mississippi Braves baseball team.  It is expected to open in the second quarter of 2008, but the names of the stores to be in it have not been released.
