WLBT's Great Lengths - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS

Dear Friends,

Hair loss can strike an especially crippling blow to women fighting cancer. In fact, a recent study revealed that 58% of women consider hair loss to be the most dreaded side effect they face when undergoing chemotherapy. To help women during one of the greatest fights of their lives, WLBT is partnering with St. Dominic's Hospital and the American Cancer Society to encourage people to grow, cut and donate their hair to create real-hair wigs for women who've lost their hair due to cancer.

This year, we are encouraging families to join together in growing 8"of hair in memory or honor of someone with cancer. All participants will be listed on WLBT.com and personally invited to come to the hair cutting celebration on Monday, June 26, 2017. Donated hair will be used to craft beautiful, high quality wigs for Mississippi women suffering from hair loss due to cancer treatments. Join me and my two daughters as we give the gift of hair!
