Steamy Sunshine, High 90
Today the sunshine will combine with more cloud cover and moisture in the air, making for a muggy day. There's a 30% chance of showers during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Winds will push from the south at 10-15 mph; high near 90 degrees
Tonight the chances of rain go on the increase as the same system that's been making headlines eases a little closer to us. Initial showers are likely to begin in the extreme northwest corner of the state and slowly spread elsewhere. Temps will fall into the upper 60s, winds pushing from the south 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow we will have our best opportunity for showers and storms during the morning hours; commute weather is expected to be 'bear.' 50% - 60% chances of showers are expected with the worst of the storm being in the northern portions of our viewing area. Highs will be in the mid 80s, giving us plenty of energy to support severe storms. There's a real threat of strong winds and hail in areas such as Yazoo, Holmes, Issaquena and Humpheys counties. Winds will initially push from the south at 10-20mph, with damaging gusts expected when the storms form.
