The woman accused of causing a wreck that seriously injured WLBT meterologist Eric Law and his wife while running from police last year has been indicted.
Hinds County district attorney Faye Peterson confirms Carol Dearman was indicted on five charges -- including aggravated assault in connection with last summer's wreck.
Eric and Christina Law suffered multiple injuries as a result of the collision. Dearman was in a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee at the time, and investigators say she had run a red light while trying to get away from police in south Jackson. That's when the wreck with the Laws happened.
Dearman is currently serving three years in the Copiah County jail. She had a lengthy criminal history but had never served any prison time until now.
A second indictement in the case could be for Elfie Carson, who was a passenger in Dearman's vehicle.
