JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - State senator John Horhn used Farish Street as a backdrop for his message on the campaign trail Thursday.
The democrat blasted the city leadership of the past 12 years citing the lack of development as an example of what's not getting done in the city of Jackson.
He says, "We've gone through two administrations of mayors. We've gone through leadership on the city council and here's what we have as a result. Still a missed opportunity because of failed leadership."
Horhn was surrounded by several community leaders, including fellow lawmakers who endorsed the senator for mayor. Eighteen candidates are campaigning for the capitol city's top job. The primary is next Tuesday.
