Jackson native wins national Emmy

LOS ANGELES, CA (WLBT) - National honors were given to a Jackson native at the Daytime Television Emmy Awards in Los Angeles Saturday night.

Keri Grayson Horn won an Emmy for writing for her contributions to the children's program "Between the Lions."

The show is a co-production of Mississippi Public Broadcasting and WGBH in Boston.

Normally Horn is in charge of close captioning for the Mississippi Public TV Network.

But, when the Between the Lions puppets come to town, she abandons her computer and takes a hand with the puppets.

Her writing ability has also been called on, and it is for one of those episodes that Horn was handed a national Emmy award.

Horn is the daughter of WLBT's own Walt Grayson.
