Bad weather causes air show cancellation

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Bad weather shuts down the second day of the Hawkins Field Air Show. Saturday hundreds flocked to the Jackson Airport to watch aerobatic flyers dip and dive through the sky.

The show was free to the public and was scheduled to continue Sunday. Inclement weather forced its cancellation.

If you hear explosions coming from Hawkins Field, event organizers say do not be alarmed. The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority is just diffusing all the fireworks that were to be used in show.
