JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -Two brothers pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and one count of aggravated assault in a Hinds County courtroom Monday.
Wydelle and Willie Wise both received 15-year sentences to serve for robbery and 20 years with five suspended for aggravated assault.
The sentences are to run concurrently.
On April 30, 2008, the two and their co-defendants robbed an elderly Jackson man and struck him several times during the robbery.
They then led authorities on a chase, firing shots at police.
The Wise brothers were arrested after they ran into Van Winkle Elementary a short time later.
Jefferson County Sheriff Peter Walker has identified the woman found dead in the cemetery of East Mount Olive Baptist Church Wednesday night.
