Drug bust lands two men behind bars in Southwest

MISSISSIPPI (WLBT) - Two men were arrested after one hundred thousand dollars worth of marijuana is seized.

Acting on a tip, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics officials arrested 30 year old Joseph Terrell Smith, Jr. of Centreville and 18-year-old Roamond Rena Gaulden, Jr. of Jackson, on Sunday in Southwest Mississippi.

Both men are charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

They are being held in the Amite County jail.

Agents seized a .45-caliber handgun and over thirteen hundred dollars in cash along with the marijuana.
