Support the JATRAN toy drive!

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - JATRAN buses normally load up passengers, but on Saturday, one bus loaded up toys!

A few JATRAN representatives, including Santa, ventured out to the WalMart on Highway 18 to ask shoppers to buy a toy to donate.  Their goal is to fill a JATRAN bus, parked outside, with toys for undeserved children.  Cash is also accepted in support of the effort. en.

The bus will deliver the toys to chosen families, just in time for Christmas.

"We did this last year, we were able to support five families which encouraged us to come out again this year. But it's an annual event, we try to give back in some way to the community," says Melissa Dean, JATRAN Marketing Director.

If you missed the toy drive, you can take new, unwrapped toys to the JATRAN facility at 1025 Terry Road, any time next week.
