Woman arrested for stabbing at McDonald's

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) - A Fayette woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault at a fast food restaurant.

Witnesses told Vicksburg police 39-year-old Verna Dawn Grime stabbed a man three times at the McDonalds on Iowa Boulevard just before 5:30 Tuesday.

The victim was taken to River Regional Medical Center with a punctured lung.

Police say Grime left the scene and was found a short time later.

Bond was set at $2,500 dollars.

Grime was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday morning in municipal court.

The victim is listed in stable condition.
