Tchula man sentenced to life for murder

COPIAH COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A Tchula man will spend the rest of his life in prison after he was found guilty of murder on Thursday.

Veshon Malone and two other men were accused of killing Clinton Chinn Senior in May of 2007.

Chinn was shot once in the back as he was returning home from work in Humphreys County.

The case was moved to Copiah County and Thursday a jury convicted Malone of capital murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The others, Lee Smith and Quincy Johnson,  had already pleaded guilty. They are serving life sentences.
