JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - More families are finding themselves unable to provide toys for their children this Christmas. But for the last ten years the Jackson Police Department has joined forces with local groups to help struggling families.
Monday night families who were screened by Habitat for Humanity were given toys and gifts at the Jackson Medical Mall.
Bags of goodies were distributed by volunteers.
Officers say they don't want any child to wake up Christmas morning empty handed.
This toy drive is a special project through J.P.D.'s Community Relations Division.
