Man run over after dispute over parking space

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (NBC) - A Florida man is recovering after being run over during a dispute over a parking space.

The brutal incident was caught on tape.

It began when John Hill, a Fort Lauderdale college professor and landlord, asked a visitor at the apartment complex he owns to move his car off the grass where it was parked. The driver, Franklin pParker, became enraged and chased hill down, running him over before stopping on a sidewalk.

After the crash parker exchanged blows with a bystander before being pinned down by an angry witnesses. Hill remained under the car, unnoticed by the gathering crowd, for several minutes. Police say Hill's injuries were not life threatening.
