Jackson police investigate 2nd homicide of 2010

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police are investigating the capital city's second homicide of 2010.

Jackson Police spokesperson Officer Joseph Daughtry said 26-year-old Marcus Terrell Simmons was found dead inside a South Jackson home just after 4 PM Sunday.

The home is located in the 2700 block of Woodside Drive, off McDowell Road.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said Simmons suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, arm, and leg.

No arrests have been made at this point. Anyone with information is asked to call Jackson Police at (601) 960-1234.
