JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - 1 of 3 men accused in the April death of a Rankin County teenager has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
District Attorney Michael Guest says Jeffery Donald was sentenced this week for conspiring to commit murder.
Law enforcement officials say Donald and two others argued with 18-year-old Rickey Harvey on April 10. Harvey was later shot on a Brandon sidewalk while working on his bike.
Corey Amos pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit murder and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in September. The final defendant and alleged gunman, Martez Harris, is scheduled to go to trial next month.
