Sanna Hill to return to school

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - We have an update on the progress of an eight year old Jackson girl shot December 10th.

Officials with Jackson Public Schools say Sanaa Hill will be welcomed back to Sykes Elementary Monday morning.

A number of individuals and groups in the community-including teachers, staff and parents- donated gifts and other assistance for Hill and her family over the holidays. The little girl spent two weeks at UMC after being struck by stray bullet while doing her homework at the Sykes Road Boys and Girls Club.

Officials say Hill will also return to the after school program Monday.

No arrests have been made in connection to this case.
