Emergency crews respond to gas leak

FLOWOOD, MS (WLBT) – FLOWOOD, MS (WLBT) - Emergency crews responded to a gas leak near a high school in Rankin county Saturday.

The Rankin County Emergency Operations Center and Flowood firefighters were on the scene of that leak near Northwest Rankin High School.

A steady stream of gas rose from the ground in an open field near the school's auditorium around 3:30p.m.

Emergency responders were on standby while the gas company repaired the broken gas line.

No evacuations were ordered, and no one was injured.
