Premier Bridal Show hosted 7th year event

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Premier Bridal Show is wrapping up right now at the Jackson Convention Center.

Brides are treated to honeymoon giveaways, wedding cake samples and gown consultations from more than 80 exhibitors. Here brides can coordinate everything from dance lessons to life insurance, reception sites to home furnishings.

Hundreds packed the bridal fashion show featuring the latest in gowns and tuxedos for the bride, groom and the entire wedding party.

This year event organizers wanted to reach out to more than just brides.

"We've noticed a lot of people are coming to our shows that maybe they are married, but they are having a 25th wedding anniversary or renewal of vows or possibly a big company and they need a lot of the same people who are here today," said Lynda Jungkind with Premier Publishing.

This is the seventh year for the Premier Bridal Show. Organizers expected up to 1,500 people to attend the afternoon event.
