JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Two people, including a teenager, are scheduled to go before a judge for a murder trial Monday.
This is a follow up to the shooting death of 44-year-old Michael David Porter in 2008.
Fourteen year-old Tevin James Benjamin is charged with capital murder. Twenty one year-old Faith Gibson is charged with accessory after the fact. Both have pleaded not guilty.
The deadly shooting happened in October 2008. Michael Porter and his family were going to a football game in Pascagoula when they stopped at a gas station in Moss Point to ask for directions.
Porter was shot in the chest as he returned to his car. Police believe robbery was the motive.
