TERRY (WLBT) - Four Hinds County schools have teamed together to help a single student. Because of them, Junior Dylan Montgomery's dream will come true!
Thursday morning, the Make-A-Wish Foundation presented a check to Montgomery worth more than $17,500. He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma two years ago.
Dylan's family came out for the presentation at Terry High School. Gary Road Elementary and Intermediate Schools and Byram Middle School also took part in the fundraising.
Dylan's wish will take him to California.
"To go to the Electronics & Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles this summer. I've always loved video games, and (designing video game software) is what I want to do when I grow up."
Dylan's wish will cost $8,000. The rest of the money raised will go toward granting the wish of Tylertown High School student Brandon Hommel.
