JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Three people were arrested when narcotics agents discovered a meth lab in Newton County.  Around 8:30 Friday night law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a home on 16th Church Road in Hickory.

There they found one gram of methamphetamine along with numerous ingredients used in "cooking" the illegal drug.  Inches away from the drug paraphernalia, officers found a child's sippie cup filled with juice.  A 21 month-old boy was discovered in the residence, the son of 19 year old Shaunna Atwood.

Atwood, 49 year-old Lamar Collins and 36 year-old Mark Ange were arrested on scene.  They are charged with child endangerment, manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of meth precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
