NEWTON COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Three people are arrested after narcotics agents bust a meth lab in Newton County.
Around 8:30 Friday night officers searched a home on Sixteenth Church Road in Hickory. They found one gram of methamphetamine and other ingredients used in "cooking" the drug. On the scene, officers found a child's sippie cup filled with juice.
A 21-month old boy was discovered at the home. He is the son of 19-year-old Shaunna Atwood.
Atwood along with 49-year-old Lamar Collins and 36-year-old Mark Ange were arrested and charged with several crimes including child endangerment and manufacture of meth.
