Body found on rural road

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - The body of an Attala County man is discovered on the side of a rural road in neighboring Holmes County.

Coroner Dexter Howard says 19-year -old Max Everett Winters was found dead on Eddsville Road off Bowling Green Road in Durant.

Winters had already died when the coroner arrived on the scene after 10:30 last night. The coroner says Winters possibly suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

He would not release any other details.

 An autopsy will be performed by the state crime lab.
