JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – Chopper Bob Rall, the voice of Skycopter morning traffic reports, was honored Tuesday by the Jackson City Council.

Council President Frank Bluntson presented Rall's wife Elizabeth with a resolution in appreciation for his contributions to the city.

WLBT general manager Dan Modisett was also on hand for the presentation.

Rall died of heart failure on January fourth.

That same morning he delivered what was his final traffic report on WLBT news.

The 67 year old Pittsburgh Pennsylvania native moved to Mississippi with his family when he was 12 years old.

Rall was recognized for a 51 year career in radio and television broadcasting.
