
ITTA BENA, MS (AP) - Six students at Mississippi Valley State University have been charged with a January 16 burglary of a dormitory room.
Campus police say those arrested this week were Patrick Smith of Lynwood, Ill.; David Brown of Lansing, Ill.; Kyle Holmes of Lansing, Ill.; Samuel Martin of Chicago; John Stiffen of Minneapolis; and Jarvis Holmes of Vicksburg.
Kyle Holmes and Jarvis Holmes are not related.
Brown and Jarvis Holmes are the only two remaining in the Leflore County Jail. The others were released on bond.
MVSU officials say the men are accused of kicking in a door and taking a laptop computer and an Xbox video game system. The Xbox system has been recovered.
Officials say the investigation is continuing.
