JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An SUV crashed into a south Jackson home injuring two people Saturday afternoon.

Dozens of bricks fell from the corner of the house near the front door of 3545 Wheatley Street.

Connie Mejia, who lives at the home, got the fright of her life as she stood outside watching the vehicle swerve off the street and into the house.

She was not injured.

Plywood now covers the shattered front windows.

The unidentified driver and another person were reportedly taken to Jackson hospitals.

According to Mejia, the accident left a huge hole in the master bedroom, sent bricks into the living room window and moved the bathroom sink.

Jackson police are investigating the cause of that crash.
