JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Bid to stay at a room at the King Edward in downtown Jackson and your money will go to help children throughout central Mississippi.  Monday the Hilton Garden Inn and Boys & Girls Clubs of central Mississippi announced a unique charity auction.

From now until February 10th, people are invited to bid on a night's stay at the King Edward Hotel and attend the grand opening gala in a few weeks.  150 rooms are up for auction and bidding starts at $150.

"Every $500 is taking a kid off the street, away from home alone, for an entire year and with that of course they get to participate in homework help, education programs, computer labs and everything we do with them," said Central Mississippi Boys & Girls Club President and CEO Billy Redd.

100% of the proceeds will go to benefit clubs in central Mississippi.
