Early morning shooting ruled homicide

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - An early morning shooting in the capitol city is now ruled a homicide.

It happened in the 2100 block of Morton Avenue just before 2 a.m. Thursday. 23-year-old Tarran Adams-Crump was shot multiple times.

22-year-old Derrick Jack was originally charged with aggravated assault.

Crump died around six this morning from his injuries.

The charges against Jack are now upgraded to murder.

He is being held at the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond without bond.
