GULFPORT, MS (AP) - A 39-year-old Gulfport man will serve 14 years for molesting boys he knew as a volunteer youth coach.
Prosecutors say Scott Yancey was sentenced Thursday after he accepted a plea agreement on two counts of unlawful touching of a child.
Yancey was indicted on a third count involving another boy.
As part of the plea agreement, The Sun Herald reports the state dismissed the third count along with a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Yancey is serving time in a federal prison for recent convictions for possessing child pornography and a firearm violation.
