BRANDON, MS (WLBT) - A Rankin County man returned home Friday night to a shocking scene, a truck amid the ruins of his kitchen.
Adam Nipper said Rankin County Sheriff's Department Deputies told him the man behind the wheel of a Chevy Z-71 drove into his home at 226 McLaurin Drive in Brandon.
He was told that it happened around 9:45 p.m.
That's when investigators said the 28-year-old Canton man was driving erratically in the Barnett Bend Subdivision Number Three and lost control on the wet pavement.
Nipper said the truck went through his front door, leaving a gaping hole where the wall and windows were.
No one was home at the time.
The driver was reportedly arrested.
Calls to the sheriff's department seeking details have not been returned.
