Mayor Harvey Johnson declares State of Emergency

Mayor Johnson Declares State of Emergency

Mayor Harvey Johnson, Jr. declared a state of emergency for the city of Jackson at 3:30 p.m. today as city crews continue to gear up for significant snowfall tonight and tomorrow.

Mayor Johnson stated that he declared the state of emergency as a precautionary measure.

"This declaration will allow us to address certain issues more expeditiously if the situation arises," he said.
