JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jury selection is still underway in the Stanley Cole murder trial. Cole is accused of killing Jackson State co-ed Latasha Norman back in November 2007. She was his ex-girlfriend.
Police say Cole led them to her body in a wooded area in north Jackson. Norman had been stabbed multiple times. Cole confessed to killing her. If convicted of murder, he faces life in prison.
Court officials hope to be done with jury selection by noon Tuesday. The judge in the case ruled today that the jury will be sequestered for the duration of the trial.
