JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The second full day of testimony is underway in the Stanley Cole murder trial. The 26-Year-Old is accused of slaying Jackson State student Latasha Norman back in 2007.

Taking the stand today were acquaintances of Cole, who were with him around the time of Latasha's death.

Cole's girlfriend at the time, Simone Harris, testified that she saw blood on his shirt, the same day Latasha disappeared.

Harris said she neglected to tell investigators about the blood when they interviewed her about Latasha.

Prosecutors believe Cole murdered Latasha, and kept her body in the trunk of Harris's car, while police searched for her.

Also taking the stand, Jacqueshia Rule, Cole's friends girlfriend.

Rule testified that she witnessed a fight between Cole and Norman, a month before she was killed.

Rule said Cole broke Latasha's phone, after she received a call from her new boyfriend.

Latasha filed assault charges against Cole in that incident, and was scheduled to testify against him in a Pearl courtroom in the days surrounding her murder.
