JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A federal jury has convicted a Port Gibson man of making a telephone threat to blow up the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson.
Court records say Don Ray Saltou allegedly made the threat on Oct. 7.
A jury convicted Saltou on Thursday. Prosecutors claimed Saltou threatened to blow up the building with Semtex, a plastic explosive.
Saltou had pleaded not guilty.
Saltou will be sentenced May 6. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
