JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Hinds County judge has upheld $14 million in legal fees paid to two former attorneys in a case against MCI. In 2005 Joey Langston and Timothy Balducci negotiated legal fees separate from a settlement with MCI in a lawsuit filed on behalf of the state.
State auditor Stacy Pickering argued the money belonged to Mississippi taxpayers. The attorneys were disbarred after pleading guilty in an unrelated judicial bribery investigation.
