Viking Range Corp. lays off more employees - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
GREENWOOD, MS (WLBT) - Viking Range Corporation says a shortage of orders forced the Greenwood-based company to lay off 20 more people this past week.
Viking has slashed at least 347 jobs since April 2008. That's almost a quarter of its work force. The cuts have come in various departments, but Friday's layoffs were in manufacturing. Four employees of the Alluvian, a hotel in downtown Greenwood owned by Viking, were also laid off recently.
