Starting Monday, a new federal law will allow firearms in many national parks.
The law will let anyone who can legally have firearms under state and federal law carry them in the national parks in that state. Before the new law, visitors couldn't use firearms in national parks, except for those that allow hunting.
There are a few exceptions to the law - firearms will not be allowed in certain designated areas. The president signed the legislation into law last may.
