Residents complain about mobile home business

TERRY, MS (WLBT) - We were originally contacted about G&B Mobile Homes because of the condition of property, which is on sixteenth section land. It is on the Frontage Road where I-55 comes into I-20 east bound.

Later we got the complaint from Stephanie Douglas, who showed us a receipt for $900 she had paid G&B, last November to have her trailer moved from Wynndale to Lebanon Pine Grove Road in Hinds County. The trailer still hasn't been moved.

We tried to get a response from G&B Mobile Homes but nobody would come to the door. Later we went back and there were two dogs guarding the property, one a pit bull, not tied up. Friday morning Douglas told us the attitude of the business owner, Lavon Gressett had changed, but her trailer still hadn't been moved.

"He was very nice this time when I called him," said Douglas.

We told her to contact the attorney general's, consumer protection division, the Hinds County Sheriff's office and the state fire marshall's office about her problems.

"I have called every one and I am filing complaints with every one. And the lady informed me I would be added to a long list of people that have complaints against Mr. Lavon," Douglas added.

We will continue to monitor this story until she gets her money back or her trailer moved.
