Volunteer firefighter arrested for embezzlement

BROOKHAVEN, MS (WLBT) - A Loyd Star Volunteer Firefighter is accused of using a department fuel card for his personal vehicle.

Twenty-year-old Ben Smith was arrested and charged with embezzlement.

According to the Brookhaven Daily Leader, officials say it went on for a few months. Smith is charged with embezzlement of upward of $500.
