JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The future of Mississippi's historically black colleges and universities was the topic of discussion on Jackson State University's campus Tuesday night.
The presidents of the state's HBCU's were invited guests on JSU TV23's newest program, "Direct Line."
JSU President Ronald Mason says gloomy economic prospects are having an impact on morale.
"These are just uncertain times, not only at Jackson State, but across the world really, so we feel like we've gotten through one year and we'll take them one year at a time and try to be as open and as honest as we can as we get through these processes," said Mason.
Alcorn State's president was invited but did not attend the broadcast.
