Pearl woman faces up to 30 years for bank fraud

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A Pearl woman pleads guilty to bank fraud.

41-year-old Karen Smith admitted Thursday that while she was employed as a teller at Regions Bank in Jackson she embezzled some $64,000 from the bank.

Smith will be sentenced May 13th. She faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a 250,000 dollar fine.
