
HINDS COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - Two men involved in an attempted car burglary in Jackson remain behind bars.
Twenty-three year old Jonathan Smith and 25-year-old Tommy Lewis are in the Hinds County Detention Center under no bond. Both are charged with auto burglary.
It happened earlier this week at a home in the Eastover subdivision. The unidentified homeowner fired at Smith and Lewis as they allegedly attempted to break into his car.
Smith was shot in the back but was released from the hospital and taken to the Hinds County Detention Center.
Jefferson County Sheriff Peter Walker has identified the woman found dead in the cemetery of East Mount Olive Baptist Church Wednesday night.
