JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The Mississippi Museum of Art was packed Saturday. It had more visitors than it's ever had before!
There's two reasons for that. First, families were allowed free admission and enjoyed activities and fun. Also, because the fun day is tied in to "Jim Henson's Fantastic World", the popular exhibit showcasing Henson's life work.
Jim Henson is from Mississippi. He created The Muppets and Sesame Street.
Children of all ages enjoyed their day at the museum.
"They're watching films that high school students made, using puppets. So people can come, do whatever they want in the galleries, in terms of making activities," says Museum Director Betsy Bradley.
"Jim Henson's Fantastic World" runs through next weekend.
