JONES COUNTY, MS (WLBT) - A Jones County toddler was killed Sunday morning in an ATV accident.

The crash happened around 11:30 near Mason Creek Road in the Hebron Community. Officials say four people, including an 18-year old and three children were riding the ATV when it rolled over turning onto a rural road. The three children were ejected from the vehicle. Two of them were treated at the scene for scrapes and bruises.

The three year old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear what caused the ATV to roll over. Authorities say ATV's can be very dangerous.

"The coroner's office did announce the child deceased at the scene. Two other children were treated at the scene, but refused transport to the hospital along with the adult.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
