EAST NORTHPORT, NY (NBC) - A punch to the chest from a robber couldn't stop 91-year-old Florence Critelli from completing her shift behind the cash register.
A man punched handed Florence a dollar for a candy bar, then grabbed a handful of cash from the drawer when it opened. She quickly grabbed the would-be thief's hand. That's when the robber punched her in the chest, knocking her to the floor.
The entire incident was caught on camera.
"He hit me good," said Critelli, who works at a Long Island Rite Aid store 35 hours a week.
She refused to go home early after the attack, saying she didn't want to just "sit there and be bored."
Florence says she hope police catch the man who punched her.
